How large storage unit do you need?
When you want to store furniture and furnishings you will need about 1/3 of the living area, converted to cubics.
30 m²: Storage needs ca. 10 m³
120 m²: Storage needs ca. 40 m³
Use storage boxes to reduces storage requirements. Use solid and standardized boxes to be able to stack your goods upon each other, and you will be able to fit more than you think.

For easy access later, some prefers to rent 2 smaller storage units, instead of one big. Your choice, the prize is the same. If your storage requirements is changing after a while, you are free to change storage unit, without extra tax.

Storage advice
Plan your storage room. Feel free to make yourself a small passage.
PREFERABLY, PACK YOUR GOODS IN SOLID SELF-LOCKING BOXES (See our shop).
Mark your boxes, make inventory and seal the boxes firmly with tape.
Stack your boxes with some clearance to allow air circulation.
Standard sizes of boxes makes it easier to stack and to make use of the whole storage volume. Take the weight into account.
Use hollow spaces in cabinets and drawers.
Fragile things like dishes and glasses should be packed in bubble wraps. (See our shop)
Table with removable legs should be dismantled.
Pictures and mirrors should be stored upright.
If possible, tables and couches are stored vertically to save space.
Cover and protect valuable furniture and objects.
Refrigerators and freezers must defrost and dried thoroughly before storing. Coolant should be drained off. Store refrigerators and freezers with the door slightly open.
When storing gods over a longer timespan, cover up with bed sheets or similar. You can buy PROTECTION SHEETS I our shop.

Only you have access to your private storage space. We as the landlord and other tenants must be able to trust that you are following Norwegian law, and
The following shall not be stored:
Food
Gasoline and other flammable liquids
oxic materials
Hazardous waste
Other objects and materials that require specially adapted environment for storage
Before storage of petrol engines, batteries must be disconnected and fuel tank must be emptied
